Some cloud in southern England this morning with a few spots of rain, although these fading away. Rain in western Scotland and northwest England, with some showers in northern and western Ireland. Brighter in the east with sunny spells. This afternoon sees winds increasing with more cloud generally affecting much of the UK and Ireland. Showers in western areas, heavy at times in western Ireland and western Scotland. Tops at 8 to 13C.


Wednesday Night
Showers and outbreaks of rain this evening, mostly in northern England and Scotland. The showers tending to fade as the night progresses, although more persistent rain in western parts of Scotland. Drier in central and southern England. Lows near 3 to 5C.

 
 
 


Thursday
Low pressure close to Scotland on Thursday bringing showers and outbreaks of rain. The showers could be wintry on hills. Further heavy showers in southern Ireland as well as the west of Wales and western England. Eastern areas will be drier with sunny spells. Windy in England and Wales. Highs at 5 to 12C.
 


Friday
Low pressure in the North Sea on Friday. A front across the south will be taking rain with it, clearing southern and eastern England during the afternoon. A few showers in the west, these heavy in western Ireland. Sunny spells elsewhere. Tops near 8 to 12C.
