Morning Call - March 06, 2020
Plenty of sunshine
Isolated showers west

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 6th March 2020
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Early rain and showers tending to ease from most areas as the day progresses though western parts of Scotland could see more persistent rain develop through the afternoon. A mostly bright day with good spells of sunshine developing for most.

Good Morning,

A chilly start across the country with patchy frost and perhaps a few ice patches. Early rain clears to the southeast of England this morning while an area of showery rain affects Ireland, Wales, southwest England and the far west of Scotland. Staying dry for much of England and Scotland with the best of the morning sunshine over central areas.

More prolonged spells of rain and sleet for western Scotland through the afternoon while showers tend to fade elsewhere to leave a dry and bright afternoon across much of Ireland and the UK. Feeling cool though with a northwesterly air flow limiting highs to 6 to 9C for most.

Rain eases for western Scotland into the evening to leave a dry night for most. Cloud builds over western Ireland with a few showers perhaps developing to the far west later.

Have a good day!

Claire
