Damp in northern England and Wales, showers and cooler for Scotland

Good morning,

A weak front brings some outbreaks of drizzle through northern England, Wales and southwest England this morning. It's pretty cloudy in the Midlands, although some brighter spells for the southeast. Brighter and cooler in Ireland and Scotland, as well as the far north of England. Some showers in northern and western Scotland, turning increasingly wintry on hills.

This afternoon stays cloudy in England and Wales, with bits of drizzle in the Midlands and Wales, perhaps the southwest too. More persistent rain arriving in Ireland and western parts of Scotland. Staying bright in eastern Scotland. Tonight sees more rain for Ireland, northern England and western Wales. Dryer in central and southern England, but breezy. Colder in Scotland.
