Morning Call - March 23, 2020
Sunny for most
Rain far northwest

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 23rd March 2020
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Cool breeze persists south & east

Good morning,

High pressure stays to the east of Britain, keeping the weather generally quiet across the country.

Plenty of spring sunshine and well broken cloud for England and Wales. A layer of high cloud is likely for Scotland and Northern Ireland, thickest toward the northwest.

A front brings rain to the Outer Hebrides and Northern Isles. Strong southerly winds in the north, very gusty locally in the Highlands. Lighter winds for central Britain, whilst a chilly easterly breeze continues to affect coasts in the south & southeast.

Today's top temperatures typically 9 to 12C, locally higher in shelter in west Wales. Nearer to 7 or 8C around coasts of East Anglia and the English Channel, and feeling cooler in the wind.

Have a great day.
Garry
