Rain in northern Scotland, showers developing in southern England

Good morning,

It's another mixed day across the UK and Ireland. Low pressure is bringing cloud and rain to northern Scotland and across Northern Ireland with little change during the day. Scattered showers over the Pennines and southwest England as well as Ireland. A few bright spells in central and eastern areas.

This afternoon stays damp in northern and western Scotland although the rain easing. Showers in southern England and southern Wales with increased cloud. There is also the threat of some thundery showers in the far southeast and over parts of East Anglia.

The best of any sunshine in western parts of Wales and southwest England as well as Ireland. Scattered showers here too.
