Thundery rain in the south spreading north, showers in western Scotland

Good morning,

If you are in England and Wales this morning don't get fooled into thinking it will be a dry day. Rain has already arrived onto southern coasts of England, and this area of rain will be tracking north through the morning. Much of southern Wales and southern England will be wet by midday. This rain then passes north this afternoon reaching northern England by evening.

Heavy showers or longer spells of rain in western Scotland and northwest Ireland. Eastern Scotland and Ireland as well as northern England will be mostly dry with sunny spells, although showers spreading into the rest of Scotland and Ireland this afternoon.

Heavy, thundery rain into southwest England tonight with outbreaks of rain across northern and western England and Wales. Further showers in western Scotland.
