Showers in the northwest
Dry & bright elsewhere

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 21st June 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Showers and outbreaks of rain the northwest of Scotland. Mostly dry and bright elsewhere with just the odd scattered shower.

Good morning,

Friday starts on a mostly dry and bright note across the UK and Ireland. A few showers and outbreaks of rain affecting western and far northern parts of Scotland. Outbreaks of rain will continue for northwestern parts of Scotland through the morning while eastern parts of Scotland could see the odd isolated shower. Isolated showers affecting Northern Ireland and the far southwest of England too.

Isolated showers continuing through the afternoon for parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland and the southwestern UK. Dry and brighter elsewhere with the best of the sunshine in the west. High temperatures at 11 or 12C in the northwest of Scotland, 20 or 21C in the southeast. More widely we'll see highs at 15 to 17C.

Any rain and showers will ease into Friday evening and cloud will start to build over Ireland. Clearer skies for the rest of the UK.

Have a good day!
Claire
