Thundery rain fading, feeling muggy

Good morning,

Periods of thundery rain through much of England and Wales this morning, this tracking north. The rain could be heavy at times. Lots of misty, murky conditions too, and feeling very muggy. The far southeast may become brighter and is likely to be drier.
 

The thundery rain tends to fade this afternoon, although it lingers in parts of northwest England and Wales, misty her too. Drier to the south, although with a fair amount of cloud. Drier in Scotland with the best sunshine in the west. Some showers for Ireland. eastern coasts of Scotland and England will have some low cloud.

Tonight sees the threat of som low cloud continuing on eastern coasts. Western areas will be dry but with some clear spells. A mild night.
