Morning Call - June 13, 2019
Rain, windy north
Most north & west

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 12th June 2019
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Another unsettled day with cloud and rain, strong winds in the north and west too

Good morning,

Plenty of cloud around this morning. Patchy rain over many parts of western England and Wales. More persistent, mainly light rain and drizzle over northeast England with another area of rain affecting East Anglia and the southeast. Breezy north and west. This area of rain turns heavy this afternoon as it spreads through southern England and into the Midlands this afternoon. A risk of a crack of thunder to the south as well.

Patchy rain in eastern Ireland and the south and east of Scotland at first, but fair to the west. Rain turns more persistent in these areas this afternoon, although the west stays mostly dry.

Heavier bursts of rain affect eastern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and much of northern and western England tonight. Drier in central and eastern parts of England as well as the far northwest of Scotland.
