Morning Call - January 15, 2019
Damp north & west
Brighter to east

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 15th January 2019
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Cloudy with drizzle and mist in the north and west, drier in the east and brighter

Good morning,

A milder day ahead as winds flow from the Atlantic over Ireland and the UK. This brings plenty of cloud, especially in northern and western arts of the country. These areas are also likely to be seeing some spots of drizzle with low cloud shrouding hills and coasts. More persistent rain may affect the far north of Scotland.

Eastern areas may well see some brighter spells developing, these becoming more frequent this afternoon. It stays cloudy and misty in the north and west with fog shrouding the hills and coasts. Further outbreaks of drizzle here too.

Tonight turns breezier with heavier bursts of rain affecting western Scotland much of Ireland. The rain turns more showery into the later part of the night as it reaches western coasts of Wales and England.
