Morning Call - January 08, 2019
Chillier, dry for most
Eastern cloud & showers

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 8th January 2019
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

A chillier day with increasing amounts of sunshine, but cloud and showers on eastern coasts

Good morning,

A chillier day ahead as the wind has turned into the northwest. This is bringing a few showers around northern and eastern coasts of Scotland, one or two on the coasts of Norfolk too. Brighter weather in the northern half of the UK, this pushing southwards as the day progresses.

Many feeling cold in the wind this afternoon. Good spells of welcome sunshine for most. With the wind being more northerly there is likely to be more cloud over eastern coasts of Scotland and England. This cloud could be thick enough to produce a few showers on eastern coasts too.

A frost developing overnight, especially in northern England, Scotland and Wales. Showers and moe cloud continue over eastern coasts. Increasing cloud and some drizzle in western Scotland.
