Gales around coasts

Good morning,

Low pressure is centred to the north-west today, but will move eastwards across Britain by this evening. Gales or possible severe gales developing near west and southern coasts.

A warm sector influences much of England and Wales during the daytime, bringing mild conditions, mostly cloudy skies and patchy drizzly rain.

A cold front moves in from the west to bring heavy rain to Ireland, Scotland, then western England and Wales by afternoon. Rain then sweeps quickly eastwards across central and eastern England this evening. Snow over Scottish mountains.

Today's top temperatures will reach a mild 10 or 11C across England & Wales, nearer 7 to 9C Scotland and Ireland, or chillier in the far north of Scotland.

Have a great day.
Garry
