Morning Call - January 17, 2019
Frosty start
Cold, cloud increasing

Frosty and sunny, few snow showers, cloud increasing from the west

Good morning,

Wrap up warm before you head out this morning, because it is a cold one out there! There is a widespread frost and some ice on roads and pavements too. Some snow showers affecting northeast Scotland and the eastern casts of England this morning. A few snow showers in northwest Scotland and western Wales too. Plenty of sunshine for most this morning.

The afternoon sees cloud increasing from the west, making the sunshine hazy. It should be dry but will be staying cold. Eastern areas will be dry with good spells of sunshine throughout, although still feeling cold.

Tonight is mostly dry and fairly cloudy. Drizzle and patchy rain moves into Ireland by midnight, this then reaching the far west of Scotland, England and Wales by the morning.
