Wet northern England and eastern Scotland, heavy showers to south, cold for all

Good morning,

It will be wet this morning over much of northern England, southern and eastern Scotland. Further rain affecting eastern Ireland too. Brighter in southern and central England, although some heavy showers here. Drier for northern Scotland although cloudy.
 

This afternoon sees further rain in northern England, although it eases in eastern and southern Scotland. Heavy showers in central England and Wales, drier and brighter to the southeast. It should be turning brighter and drier in northeast Scotland too. Tonight sees the rain continues through northern England, a risk of some flooding. Rain affecting southern England. Fair in Scotland with clear skies, but a few showers in the northeast.
