Morning Call - November 13, 2019
Dry east, wetter west
Hill snow risk tonight

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 13th November 2019
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Mostly dry at first in the east but rain developing in the west

Good morning,

A dry start to the day over much of the UK and certainly drier than recent days. A scattering of showers in the far northeast of Scotland with some good spells of sunshine in parts of the east. Thicker cloud in western areas and across Ireland which will be bringing a few spots of rain here.

The rain turns more persistent during the morning in Ireland. Rain then turning heavier this afternoon in Wales and southwest England. Cloud increasing in the east. By this evening much of Wales and southwest England become wet with heavy spells of rain. Wet tonight in southern areas, windy for many as wel. The rain turning to snow over hills of Wales and the southern Midlands. Snow showers in northeast Scotland. Drier for other areas.
