A cold start with a widespread frost and icy patches for some. Mist and fog patches will affect many too. These should clear to leave a mostly bright and dry day across the UK and Ireland though cloud builds from the west later.

Good morning,

A cold and bright start to the week for many with a widespread frost and patches of ice, mist and fog. Cloudy to the southeast with some lingering rain here.

Rain clears away from the southeast to leave a mostly dry and sunny afternoon for the UK. Occasional showers may develop along North Sea coasts. Cloud builds from the west over Ireland through the afternoon though it should stay dry here. High temperatures ranging from just 3 to 8C.

Cloud continues to build from the west through Monday evening reaching far western parts of the UK while rain reaches far western counties of Ireland. Clear skies remain over much of England and Scotland.

Have a good day!
