An unsettled but mild day, heavy showers and more rain tonight

Good morning,

Cloud and rain affecting much of central and southern Ireland, Wales, central nd southern England this morning. Further rain in eastern parts of Scotland, but drier in western Scotland with some sunny spells here. It should be starting drier in the far north of England too.
 

The rain reaches Northern Ireland and northern England during the day. Brighter weather follows into southern Ireland, Wales and the southern of England. A few showers blowing into southern and western coasts and hills. Further rain in northeastern parts of Scotland. Windy here too. More rain tonight oin central and eastern Scotland, with a risk of rain in the southeast. Further heavy periods of rain in southwest England, these thundery at times.
