Largely settled with minimal rain for most.

Some weakened fronts will bring cloud and patchy rain to places at times, but dry weather for much of the time is expected for the majority. Always tending to be more cloud and rain across western Scotland where it will be windy at times too. Some chilly and frosty start but temperatures recovering well during the daytime.

A cool start but temperatures recover well through the day. Breezier for all and windy in the north where there will be more cloud and outbreaks of rain, heavy across western Scotland. Otherwise, a largely dry day, though blustery showers are expected across western coasts and hills. A cool feeling day and cold in that wind. Highs at 5 to 8C.
 

Monday 30/1/23
Some showers in north and east Scotland where there is a brisk wind for a time. Drier for other areas with some bright or sunny spells, although always the threat of a shower on western coasts. Highs at 6 to 9C though feeling colder in the wind.

Tuesday 31/1/23
More variable cloud cover expected through Tuesday as a weakening front moves southwards down the country, clearing Scotland and Northern Ireland with brighter conditions developing here but also frequent showers in the west. Highs at a milder 7 to 11C.

Wednesday 1/2/23
A cooler start to Wednesday and a less mild day with a brisker wind making it feel chillier for many. More cloud with showers, some merging into longer spells of rain affecting most northern and western coasts and hills. Drier with some sunny spells elsewhere. Highs at 5 to 9C.

Thursday 2/2/23
A chilly start to Thursday. Cloud thickening in the north again with outbreaks of rain moving in across Scotland. Dry elsewhere with sunny spells. Staying chilly in the north with highs here at 4 to 7C, milder elsewhere at 7 to 11C.

Friday 3/2/23
A largely dry and fine day with sunny spells, best of these across southern and southeastern areas. Highs at a mild 8 to 11C.
