Changeable weather with a chilly start to the new week

Rain pushes northwards through this weekend falling as snow on Sunday across parts of Scotland. Turning chilly at the start of the new week before the next wet, windy and milder weather moves in midweek. Changeable thereafter. For the weather for the next few days click here

Tuesday 3/1/23
A frost first thing to central and eastern areas on Tuesday along with a dry and bright start, before cloud and rain in the west moves east. Expect snow at first over the hills in the north, though mostly rain elsewhere as milder temperatures moves in. Winds will also strengthen. Highs rising to 7 to 12C.
 

Wednesday 4/1/23
A more unsettled day for midweek. Much of the heavier rain will have cleared eastwards before dawn though expect heavy and frequent showers, some merging into longer spells of rain across many western areas. Tending to be drier further east. A windier day with the risk of gales. Highs at 13C in southern England, 9 to 11C across Scotland into northern England.

Thursday 5/1/23
Turning chillier across the north on Thursday. A drier day for many and less windy, though cloud and rain looks to push across Wales and central England later. Turning cooler through Scotland while staying mild further south. Highs at 6 to 12C.

Friday 6/1/23
A cooler start to Friday with a frost for some in the north and east. A dry and fine day mostly before cloud builds from the west with rain eventually moving in to far western areas later. Highs at 5 to 11C.

Saturday 7/1/23
A more unsettled day with rain tracking eastwards, heavy in places, along with strengthening winds. Highs at 4 to 10C.

Sunday 8/1/23
A sunshine and showers day, showers mostly in the west where it will be blustery. Tending to be drier further east. Highs at a cooler 3 to 8C.
