Gales this morning, easing this afternoon

Good morning,

Hold on to your hats because we are starting this morning with severe gales. These are affecting much of the Midlands, Wales, and southern England, and will be troubling northern England soo too. Much lighter winds in Scotland, although Ireland is breezy. The winds should ease this afternoon.
 

Rain will be affecting northern England as well, and this extends through central and western Scotland. This rain should also be easing as the low pases eastwards into this afternoon. Brighter weather follows to the west although there will be showers. The showers heavy on western coasts. More persistent rain in western Ireland later.

Then a broader area of severe gales affects the UK and Ireland tonight with heavy periods of rain in the west.
