Morning Call - February 18, 2019
Sunny spells & showers
Temperatures close to average

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 18th February 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Multiple fronts will bring a day of mixed weather with most areas seeing a mix of sunny spells and showers. Windy in the north and west.

Good morning,

It will be a rather mixed day of sunny spells and showers for most of us. The best of the brightness during the morning will be for eastern parts of Scotland while western Ireland, western Scotland, northwest England, western Wales and south-central parts of England will see some showers. Breezy in the northwest.

It will become mostly cloudy through the afternoon with the best sunny spells in the northeast of England and along Irish Sea coasts. Rain will persist for northern and western Scotland, much of Ireland, northwest England, western fringes of Wales and southeastern parts of England. Staying breezy for northern areas. High temperatures will be down on what we've had of late, ranging from 7 to 11C.

Skies should clear and rain should ease for most areas into the evening though western parts of Wales and Scotland and northwest England could see some showers persisting. Staying breezy for the Northern Isles.

Have a good day!
Claire
