Local gales
Good morning,
A broad and complex zone of low pressure lies across northwest Europe and Scandinavia. A secondary depression runs across southern Britain.
Heavy rain moves across the Midlands and southern England, followed by clusters of showers, with hill snow for higher ground. Rain affects East Anglia into the middle of the day. Winds gusting near gale force around southwestern coasts.
Troughs affect the north and west of the British Isles, bringing wintry showers to the north and west of Scotland, Northern Ireland, with snow falling to low levels, and possible hail. For many hours, northern England and southern Scotland will be dry with sunny spells, although showers will develop later in western areas.
Today's top temperatures will be chillier than previous days at 5 to 8C.
Have a great day. Garry
