Morning Call - February 04, 2019
Wet and windy first thing
A mostly dry and bright day will follow

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 4th February 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Early morning rain should clear to the east through the morning to leave a mostly dry and bright afternoon for the UK and Ireland

Good morning,

Overnight rain will have mostly cleared by the time most of us are up and about on Monday though there may still be some showers lingering over northeastern Scotland and the southeast of England. Windy over the southeastern half of the country through the morning. It will be a much milder start to the day than we've had of late with temperatures widely above freezing at around 3 to 6C.

Through the late morning and early afternoon cloud and rain will continue to clear to the east leaving a mostly dry and bright day. Hazy sunshine over Ireland through the afternoon but blue skies should prevail over much of England, Scotland and Wales. High temperatures will reach 4 to 6C for Scottish towns and cities, 6 to 8C across Ireland, and 7 to 10C across England and Wales.

Cloud will thicken over Ireland and the southern half of England through Monday evening while a few light showers may develop over northwestern Scotland.

Have a great day!
Claire
