Chilly weather continues with sleet and snow on hills
Staying chilly through the rest of this week with a risk of some sleet and snow over the hills. The weekend is also looking chilly with rain at times and a further risk of sleet and snow on the hills. Little change is likely next week.

Friday 28/2/20 A ridge of high-pressure brings a drier and cool morning on Friday. Cloud will be increasing from the west but most areas should be dry. Some patchy rain arriving in western parts of Wales, England and eventually Scotland in the late morning and afternoon, distance spreading eastwards during the day. Increasingly misty and murky around coast and hills. Highs at 5 to 8C.
Saturday 29/2/20 Heavy rain will be passing eastwards through all areas over night into Saturday. There may be some snow over hills and perhaps a little sleet at low levels as the rain clears east in the morning. Much brighter but windy weather with sunshine and wintry showers follows from the west. Most of the showers affecting western coast and hills. Feeling cold in the wind. Highs at 3 to 9C.
Sunday 1/3/20 Another cold day on Sunday with sunny spells but also wintry showers. Most of the showers affecting western coast and hills with a risk of heavier snow showers in western Scotland. There is a chance of some more persistent rain and sleet affecting southern Wales and southern parts of England for the time. Highs at 3 to 7C.
Monday 2/3/20 Low-pressure crosses Scotland on Monday bringing rain, sleet and snow. Elsewhere will be brighter but with some wintry showers affecting western coast and hills. Highs at 4 to 7C.
Tuesday 3/3/20 A ridge of high pressure may bring a more settled day on Tuesday with some sunny spells. Tops around 5 to 8C.
Wednesday 4/3/20 The weather again on Wednesday as fronts pass eastwards bringing rain with some sleet over hills. It may be rather breezy to.Highs near 5 to 8C.
