Duty forecaster: Dr. Simon Keeling

More severe gales this weekend, rain could bring flooding

The unsettled weather continues over the coming week. There will be further spells of rain, some of it heavy, and this could lead to a risk of flooding. Severe gales are likely to be setting in again into the weekend with the winds strong enough to cause some damage to trees and buildings. The winds only slowly ease next week.
