Tuesday 04/02/20
High pressure builds to the southwest while low pressure moves to the north bringing a cool westerly flow to the UK and Ireland. Early rain and hill snow over northern Scotland fades into the afternoon as do showers over northwestern coastal regions of Ireland, England and Wales. Occasional showers may develop through the afternoon, these largely over eastern coasts of England and Scotland. A cool day with highs at just 5 to 8°C.

Wednesday 05/02/20
High pressure builds over the UK and Ireland through midweek bringing a dry and fair day for many. Occasional showers affect the far north of Scotland and the Northern Isles but otherwise it stays dry. Cloud builds from the west later with the best of the sunshine over eastern parts of England and Scotland. Staying cool after a frosty start with highs of 5 to 8°C.

Thursday 06/02/20
High pressure slips slowly to the east and low pressure approaches from the west bringing increasing cloud across the British Isles. Light outbreaks pf patchy rain affect western parts of Ireland and Scotland later in the day. Staying dry for most with the best of any brightness to the east. A frosty start with high temperatures reaching 5 to 8°C.

Friday 07/02/20
Friday could see pressure lowering across the country with strengthening winds for many. Outbreaks of light, patchy rain for far western areas, staying dry though for most. Some good spells of sunshine will develop - the best of these over southern and eastern Ireland, Wales, eastern Scotland and western England. Highs widely reaching 5 to 10°C.

Saturday 08/02/20
A band of rain, often heavy, spreads from west to east across the country on Saturday reaching the far east of England through the evening. This turns readily to snow over higher ground. Behind the rain to the west cooler and brighter conditions follow with scattered wintry showers. Highs at 3 to 6°C for Ireland, Scotland and Northern Ireland, 7 to 10°C for England and Wales.

Sunday 09/02/20
Sunday sees the arrival of a further low pressure area bringing widespread outbreaks of heavy rain, snow over higher ground and strong winds across the country. Once again, brighter conditions follow from the northwest with scattered wintry showers for western coasts and hills. Highs ranging from 5 to 10°C.
