Cloud and rain western Scotland and Ireland

Good morning,

Many places will see a dry and pleasantly warm day today with broken cloud and spells of sunshine. However, like recent days, there will be a scattering of locally heavy showers around.

The greatest risk of showers is across south-west England, mid-Wales and northern England. Local showers are possible for the Midlands, but very hit and miss.

Meanwhile, a front will bring cloudy skies and some rain to western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Some showery bursts also forming across northeast Scotland.

Southern counties of England, the London area and East Anglia should stay generally dry throughout the day.

Today's top temperatures 19 to 23C, warmest around the East Midlands. A few degrees lower near to western coasts where a southerly breeze will tend to increase through the day.

Have a great day.
Garry
