Morning Call - January 21, 2023
Grey and wet north/west
Chilly for many still

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 21st January 2023
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Dense fog in places across England and Wales.

Good morning,

Stubborn mist and fog across central and southern England including Wales. Away from the fog expect dry and bright conditions with plenty of sunshine. Further north and west will be cloudier with a brisker wind and patchy rain, some snow towards the higher ground of Scotland.

The afternoon continues similar, though perhaps more fog will have lifted. Snow will have transitioned mostly to rain across the north as milder air moves in here.

Overnight, the cloud and patchy rain continues across the north and also pushes in to parts of Wales and northern England, some snow over the higher ground as it moves through. Clear skies across central, southern and southeast England where freezing fog will develop. Cold still across much of England into Wales with some frost developing.
