Morning Call - January 05, 2023
Wet north & west
Mild

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 5th January 2023
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Rain moving in across the north and west, while mostly dry further south.

Any sunny skies will progressively become cloudier through the morning with outbreaks of rain pushing eastwards as the next Atlantic frontal system moves towards the country.

Becoming wetter and winder across Scotland with outbreaks of rain, some heavy for a time, and across Northern Ireland before clearing here. Patchy rain expected across England and Wales, though many further south will see nothing at all.

Overnight, the band of rain will continue to push eastwards across central and eastern England, clearing by dawn, while turning drier and clearer from the west. Showers and or longer spells of rain still expected across much of Scotland.
