Chilly start and largely dry
Good morning,
Low cloud, mist and possible fog expected across places in the north of the UK and through Northern Ireland before most lifting through the day and some sunny spells developing.
Outbreaks of rain move across north and west Scotland as well as Northern Ireland later in the day. Turning breezy in the far north. Otherwise mostly dry with variable cloud and some sunny spells, though scattered showers pushing on to some eastern regions of England cannot be ruled out.
Mist and fog developing more widely overnight with some dense patches of freezing fog possible across central and southern England and Wales where lows will drop below freezing for most. Patchy rain moves southwards across Scotland and Northern Ireland into northern England by dawn. Otherwise largely dry.
