Heavy rain giving possible localised flooding

A wet day through many areas as low pressure dominates the weather across the British Isles.

Spells of heavy rain for many, with snow affecting the hills of Scotland. Turning drier from the west with cloud breaking and some bright spells developing, although staying cloudy and wet in northern Scotland.

A drier first half of the night, though sleet and snow still across the far north of Scotland. More rain moves in across southern England, Wales and Ireland into northern England and southwest Scotland by morning.
