Cold, mostly dry
Cloudy north & west

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 23rd January 2023
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Mostly dry and cold, morning fog patches clearing, cloudy north and west

Some mist and fog patches in southeast England this morning. These should cear with the sun break through and much of East Anglia, southern and southeast England as well as the east and south Midlands being fine and sunny. Cloudier skies for northern England, Wales, southwest England, Scotland and Ireland, some drizzle on western coasts. Feeling cold again.

This afternoon stays bright across much of central, eastern and southern England. Some bright spells in eastern Wales. Most other areas are cloudy but mostly dry and cold. A few spots of drizzle on western coasts and hills. Milder for Ireland and the far west of Scotland as well as southwest England.

Frosty tonight in southern England under clearer skies with some dense fog patches forming in central and southern areas too. Cloudier again in Scotland and much of Ireland as well as northwest England. Mostly dry, just a few spots of drizzle on hills.
