Wind, cloud and outbreaks of rain, most west and south
A much milder and windy start to the new week as southwesterly winds affect all parts of the British Isles. Rain afecting southern England this morning, heavy at times along southern and southeastern coasts and hills. This should fade into this afternoon.Further outbreaks of rain and showers in western areas with heavier rain in western Scotland. Gales over western and southern coasts and hills.
This afternoon stays windy with lots of cloud. Periods of rain in the west, some of it heavy in western Scotland. Drier in eastern areas, perhaps with a few bright spells. It will be mild for all.
Some clearer skies developing over many areas tonight, although cloud in the far south with rain easing. Scattered showers in the west. A mild night for all.
