Bitterly cold yet bright for many

Good morning,

Another widespread hard frost to start the day. It will be dry and bright for many.

Though the northerly flow brings snow showers to some western and eastern coasts with frequent, and in places, heavy snow fall to northern Scotland and parts of Northern Ireland. It's likely some wintry showers will bring a layer of snow to the higher ground of northern England also.

Overnight, snow showers continue in the north and over higher ground. Mostly rain showers, some wintry, down coasts too but dry inland and for most others with clears spells and developing frost and ice.
