Morning Call - July 02, 2021
Sunny spells
Risk of showers

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 2nd July 2021
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Sunshine and developing shower risk. Cloudier in the southwest later.

Some patchy rain pushing in on some eastern English coasts first thing. During the morning there will be sunny spells for many and staying largely dry, but a risk of showers comes about late morning across central and northern parts of Ireland into Northern Ireland as well as across some central and northern regions of England into southwest Scotland.

In the afternoon, that shower risk is greater across northern parts of Ireland, Northern Ireland, northern and eastern regions of England into southern Scotland. Cloud will increase across south Ireland, into Wales and southern and southwest England with rain looking to affect southern regions of Ireland by late afternoon, patchy rain in the southwest of England. Largely dry with sunny spells elsewhere.

Overnight, the rain becomes patchy as it pushes north-eastwards across Ireland into Northern Ireland as well as into western parts of England, across Wales and perhaps affect some southwestern regions of Scotland. Possible patchy light rain affecting some eastern English coasts too. Other than rain also affecting the Northern Isles it will be largely dry elsewhere.
