Morning Call - July 17, 2021
Very warm/hot sun
Largely dry

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 17th July 2021
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Very warm/hot for some. Mostly dry, although some cloud and drizzle for north and west Scotland.

A dry and fine morning for most with blue skies and warming sunshine, however, there could be some low cloud and mist to start the day for some but this should quickly burn off. More cloud with the odd spot of rain or drizzle across northern and western parts of Scotland.

In the afternoon, cloudier skies continue across northern and western Scotland with drizzle still possible here. The Northern Isles may just see some developing sunshine. A dry and fine day elsewhere with good spells of very warm, even hot, sunshine.

Cloud pushing in across much of northern and central Scotland overnight with the risk of some patchy light rain/drizzle in the thicker cloud across the far north and northwest. Cloud also pushes in across northwest Ireland bringing the risk of some drizzle falling here too. Elsewhere, temperatures will fall back from the daytime heat and it will stay dry with clear skies.
