Feeling humid, light winds

Good morning,

Many places will see a dry day today, but like recent days there will be some heavy showers around too.

These will form most widely into the afternoon and early evening, likely focused on central Scotland and the Highlands, the Borders and north Pennines, plus eastern England. With light winds, the showers will move around slowly, giving rain for an hour or more, with some thunderstorms possible.

Patchy rain moves into the southwest too, which turns more persistent for Cornwall later in the day - this rain advancing further across southwestern counties into the night.

Today's top temperatures reaching a humid 22 to 24C in eastern counties, 17 to 21C in the west and north.

Have a great day.
Garry
