Morning Call - July 21, 2021
Hot again
Isolated storms later

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 21st July 2021
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Another hot day, mostly dry, just an isolated thunderstorm this afternoon

Another warm and fine start to the morning across many parts of the country. The best of the sunshine tending to be across western and southern areas, with some broken clouds in the east and perhaps some light cloud affecting the eastern coast of Scotland and north-east England. This tends to break with sunny spells developing here as well. Rapidly feeling hot during the morning.

This afternoon stays hot with plenty of sunshine for most. Some fair weather cloud developing but still plenty of sunshine. There will be some isolated, thundery showers forming over high ground, the highest risk probably across northern England, the Midlands and Southeast England.

Tonight sees any of those showers fighting away and then we should be dry with plenty of clear spells, although some low cloud just drifting onto eastern coasts from time to time. Thick cloud arriving in Southwest Island with some drizzle here, and this cloud may affect parts of Southwest England to.
