Outbreaks of rain then showers with sunny spells developing for some.
A largely cloudy start with outbreaks of rain across Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales and across much of England pushing northwards with sunny spells developing behind but also heavy and perhaps thundery showers. Northern and eastern parts of Scotland seeing the best of the drier conditions.
In the afternoon, expect showers, some heavy, across northern and western parts of England, Wales and Ireland. A few showers or longer spells of rain across parts of Scotland, although many places remaining dry here with sunny spells. Becoming largely dry and sunny across south and southeast England.
Showers continue into the evening and overnight for some, the showers from the daytime looking to become more confined further north and northeast. More showers or longer spells of rain are expected to push in to southern and southwestern areas of England as well as Wales later. Largely dry elsewhere with variable cloud amounts.
