Morning Call - October 14, 2019
Rain for many
Drier to north

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 14th October 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Heavy rain affects many central and southern parts of the country on Monday. Drier and brighter to the north but showers still affect western areas.

Good morning,

It's a wet start to the day for Ireland and southern parts of England while showers, mist and fog patches affect northern and western parts of Scotland. Dry but rather cloudy elsewhere. Rain spreads north across England and into Northern Ireland through the morning.

Rain clears to the northwest of Ireland through the afternoon while heavy rain continues over much of central and southern England and Wales spreading into northeast England too. Showers continue for western parts of Scotland. High temperatures generally ranging from 11 to 14C, 15 to 17 in the far southeast.

Rain persists through the evening for much of central and northeastern England and eastern parts of Wales. It becomes increasingly showery for central-eastern parts of England. Showers continued too for western parts of Scotland and Ireland.

Have a good day!
Claire
