Morning Call - October 04, 2019
Strong winds southwest
Outbreaks of rain for many

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 4th October 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Strong winds to the southwest with outbreaks of rain for England and Wales.

Good morning,

It's a dull start to the day for many with outbreaks of rain affecting Northern Ireland, northern Ireland, southwest Scotland, northwest England and parts of the Midlands. Strong winds affecting southwestern areas too. A few showers for eastern Scotland and western Ireland too. The best of any brightness is over the far northeast and southwest of the UK.

Through the morning, rain eases for most areas with the exception of Wales. Showers continue too for eastern parts of England and Scotland. Rain and showers continue to ease through the afternoon and some good spells of sunshine develop to the north and west. Continuing breezy to the southwest. High temperatures at 11 to 16C.

A mostly dry evening though some showers may linger over southwestern parts of the UK and develop over the far northeast of Scotland. The best of any clear skies will be to the east.

Have a good day!
Claire
