Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 13th October 2019 Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan
Further rain on the way for many today.
Good morning,
An area of low pressure over the Irish Sea brings outbreaks of rain to eastern Ireland, much of England, Wales, Northern Ireland and southern Scotland through Sunday morning. A brighter start to the day for northern Scotland but it will cloud over from the south through the morning. A few showers affecting western coasts too.
Rain clears to the north and east through the afternoon with the heaviest rain concentrated over central and southern Scotland by the late afternoon. A dry afternoon with sunny spells developing over much of England, Wales and Ireland though showers will affect western coasts and hills. High temperatures at 10 to 14C for most, 16 to 18C in the southeast of England.
Rain becomes increasingly confined to the highlands of Scotland through Sunday evening while showers ease elsewhere to leave a dry end to the day for most.
Have a good day! Claire
