Mainly fair with some bright spells but a few showers in the west and south

Good morning,

There's some rain this morning over the northeast coasts of England, but this is going to be clearing quickly into the North Sea. many areas are going to be dry with cloud being broken and some sunny spells breaking through. However, showers in southern Wales and southern England start to develop later this morning.

This afternoon sees the risk of some showers in southern Wales, central and southern England. Generally it will be dry with some bright spells. Thickening cloud and increasing winds in Ireland with rain on the far west by late afternoon and early evening. The rain then continues to head eastwards through tonight. Increasing winds and the heaviest of the rain is expected in the west
