Morning Call - October 05, 2019
Rain spreading east
Showers to the west

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 5th October 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Rain spreads eastward across Ireland and the UK today reaching most parts by this evening. Showers and sunny spells follow behind the rain to the west.

Good morning,

Away from the far west of Ireland it's a dry start for most of us across the British Isles. Cloudier to the west with the best of any morning sunshine to the east. Rain spreads across Ireland through the morning reaching western Scotland and the far southwest of the UK by lunchtime. A few showers for eastern parts of England and Scotland too through the morning but these light and very scattered.

Rain continues to push east through the afternoon spreading across Wales, much of Scotland and into northwest England. Drier conditions follow to the west for much of Ireland though there may still be the odd shower here at times. Staying dry too to the far northeast of Scotland. The best of any afternoon sun will be here too. High temperatures reaching at 11 to 15C for most, 16 or 17C to the far south of England and Ireland.

Through this evening rain will continue to spread eastward reaching all but the Northern Isles and the far southeast of England through the first part of Saturday night. Drier conditions continue for Ireland and spread into the southwest UK too.

Have a good day!
Claire
