Morning Call - October 16, 2019
Rain spreads east
Colder, brighter from west

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 16th October 2019
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Wind and rain spread east, drier, brighter and colder weather follow from the west

Good morning,

It;s a wet start to the morning over much of western and southern Scotland together with much of England and Wales. A front is moving eastwards fairly quickly giving a few heavy bursts of rain here and there. Drier weather has already reached Ireland and is now heading into Wales and southwest England. This drier weather should spread to Wales and most of England during this morning as heavier rain advances into central, northern and eastern Scotland.

Brighter and much cooler weather follows from the west this afternoon as the raion clears eastern England. Staying cloudy and wet in northern and eastern Scotland until late afternoon. A few showers in western Ireland, otherwise it should be dry with god spells of sunshine. Tonight is going to become dry and cold for many. A few mist patches in England and Scotland as well as Wales. A few showers over western coasts of Wales and southwest England as well as western Ireland.
