A fresher day for most with sunshine, while rain for the SE.

Good morning,

The SE of England will wake up to a wet and cloudy start but the rain for many will ease through the morning. Elsewhere, it will be a cool start for many with bright and sunny spells. Some showery rain moving into far western areas.

The afternoon sees the showery rain push southeastwards down the country though very hit and miss with most staying dry with sunny spells. The southeast corner remains largely cloudy with still some rain about.

Overnight, some patchy light rain will affect mainly coastal areas of England and Wales though most places staying dry. Parts of the very far southeast continues to be affected by longer spells of rain. Lows dropping in the north.
