Morning Call - September 09, 2022
Heavy showers
Longer spells of rain

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 9th September 2022
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Unsettled for many but the rain and showers easing later in the day.

Good morning,

Low pressure continues to dominate the weather pattern bringing heavy showers and rain.

A wet morning across south and east Scotland, the Borders as well as south Wales into southwest England with spells of rain here, while patchy rain across Northern Ireland. Scattered showers through central and east England. Largely dry elsewhere.

The afternoon sees brighter spells develop through Northern Ireland with rain in the north and southwest of Britain clearing or easing though the rain affecting many southern English counties. Still a high risk of showers, some heavy and thundery, through central and eastern England. Dry elsewhere.

Overnight, some showers affect England and Wales, thundery along eastern coasts, though many places will remain dry. Dry with clear spells across the west, though mist and fog is likely to develop through the early hours here. Chillier than of late.

Remember that umbrella.
