Breezy and sunny in the south, cloud over northeast coasts and northern Scotland

Some low cloud affecting the coast of North East England this morning, but for most it will be a breezy,chilly and sunny start to the day across England and Wales. More sunshine to come in Ireland as well as southern Scotland. Thicker cloud affects Northwest Scotland with a few spots of drizzle here.

This afternoon sees further sunshine in most of England and Wales together with a stiff easterly breeze. Further sunshine affects Ireland as well. More cloud in central and northern Scotland, a scattering of showers here. There may also be some further low cloud in the far north east of England. Feeing cool in the breeze despite temperatures above average in the south.

Remaining breezy through much of central and southern England and Wales tonight with low cloud drifting onto south-western coast. Clear skies and cool conditions in Northern Ireland, northern England and southern Scotland, although thick cloud in northern Scotland.
