Dry England & Wales

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 15th September 2020
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Plenty of dry weather around today for England and Wales with variable amounts of cloud. Another warm day here too with temperatures generally ranging from 18 to 28C. Cloudier to the north and west for much of Ireland, Scotland and Northern Ireland with patchy outbreaks of rain here, this locally heavy at times. Staying warm here too with temperatures of 16 to 24C.

Good Morning,

A cloudy start to the day for many with the thickest cloud over northern and western parts of the UK as well as over Ireland. Outbreaks of rain affecting Scotland through the morning, these locally heavy, with patchy rain affecting parts of Ireland and Northern Ireland. A dry start over much of England and Wales with the best of the sun over eastern England.

Outbreaks of rain continue to affect the island of Ireland as well as western and northern parts of Scotland into the afternoon while a few showers may develop over northern parts of England too. Becoming cloudier over England and Wales with the best of the sun becoming confined to southeast England where highs may reach 30C once again.

Rain tends to ease into the evening though northwestern parts of Ireland and northeastern parts of Scotland may hold onto to it for a while. The best of the evening sun will likely be over western parts of England and Wales.

Have a good day!

Claire
