Becoming wet and breezy for all, heavy rain at times in the north and west

Make the most of morning sunny spells in eastern parts of England and Scotland today. Rain is already across Ireland, some of it is heavy. The rain quickly arrives in western Wales and western England, and breezy in the west too.

Wet in western Scotland and Northern Ireland, perhaps for the west of Wales as well this afternoon. The heavier rain arrives in southwest England too. Outbreaks of rain making their way into the Midlands and southern England, this rain then spreads east through the rest of the afternoon and evening.

Tonight stays unsettled with more rain heavy at times. Drier in the west of England and Wales as well as Ireland later.
